About the role

Now in full production ramp-up, we are seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join our high-performing plant maintenance team at the Kathleen Valley Lithium Operation on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth.

Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor you'll support the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of fixed plant infrastructure to ensure equipment reliability and optimal performance.

Responsibilities include:

• Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and equipment in the fixed plant facility.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine fabrication requirements.
• Perform welding, cutting, and shaping of metal components using various tools and equipment.
• Conduct inspections to identify and assess the condition of plant infrastructure and equipment.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and execute repair and maintenance plans.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and industry standards throughout all fabrication and repair activities.
• Maintain accurate records of fabrication, repair, and maintenance tasks performed.
• Assist in developing maintenance procedures and documentation related to boiler-making activities.

About you

• Relevant trade qualification.
• Proven experience as a Boilermaker in a fixed plant operational mining environment.
• Proficient in boiler-making techniques, including welding, cutting, and shaping of metal.
• Strong knowledge of reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Sound understanding of different types of metals, their properties, and appropriate fabrication techniques.
• Experience in using a variety of welding equipment and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform repairs and maintenance efficiently.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety guidelines.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance and pass a pre-employment medical and D&A screen.
