About the role

 

Liontown Resources is seeking applications from experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians to join our Kathleen Valley lithium operation. This is a permanent opportunity working an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth.

 

With our plant now fully commissioned, we have successfully transitioned into production and are six months into operations with a 20+ year mine life. Our Open Pit continues to operate through 2025 and at current rates is on track to be completed early in 2026. Meanwhile, our underground operations continue with decline and level development in line with plan. The team onsite remain on track to commence underground stoping in early production Q4 FY2025.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs of electrical and instrumentation systems in the fixed plant area.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose faults or malfunctions in electrical and instrumentation equipment.
  • Perform installations, terminations, and testing of electrical and instrumentation components and systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and execute maintenance schedules and plans.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company standards, and industry best practices.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of maintenance procedures and documentation.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the operations and maintenance teams.
  • Stay updated with advancements in electrical and instrumentation technologies and practices.

 

About you

 

  • Relevant Electrical & Instrumentation trade qualification
  • WA A grade Electrical licence required
  • HV switching ticket highly regarded
  • Proven experience as an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician in a mining or heavy industrial environment.
  • Sound knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, including PLCs, motor controls, and process instrumentation.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical and instrumentation drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and safe work practices in the mining industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members.
  • Have obtained a National Police Clearance within the last 6 months or have the ability to obtain one.
  • Able to pass a Pre-Employment medical and Drug and Alcohol screen.
