About the role
We are currently looking for an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join our Maintenance team based at our world class Kathleen Valley lithium project. This is a full-time, permanent role, working an 8/6 roster, FIFO from Perth. Our 20+ year mine life means long-term career progression opportunities.
The successful applicant will:
- Conduct regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs of electrical and instrumentation systems in the fixed plant area.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults or malfunctions in electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Certified to perform high voltage switching operations
- Perform installations, terminations, and testing of electrical and instrumentation components and systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and execute maintenance schedules and plans.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company standards, and industry best practices.
- Assist in the development and improvement of maintenance procedures and documentation.
- Provide technical support and guidance to the operations and maintenance teams.
- Stay updated with advancements in electrical and instrumentation technologies and practices.
About you
- Relevant electrical trade qualification, “A” grade Electrician.
- Proven experience as an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician in a mining or heavy industrial environment.
- Sound knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, including PLCs, motor controls, and process instrumentation.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical and instrumentation drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and safe work practices in the mining industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- Have obtained a National Police Clearance within the last 6 months or can obtain one.
- Able to pass a Pre-Employment medical and Drug and Alcohol screen.
