It is one of the few lithium projects globally in construction today, with first production achieved in mid-2024 of schedule. 

 

About the role

 

Liontown is seeking an experienced Environmental Technician to join our Kathleen Valley team on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth. This 12-month max term contract offers the potential for permanency and is a great opportunity to be part of a passionate, high-performing team driving environmental compliance and sustainability at one of Australia’s most significant lithium operations.

 

What you’ll be doing:

 

  • Conducting a range of environmental monitoring activities, with a key focus on groundwater management and compliance.
  • Collecting and analysing water samples to inform assessments and reporting.
  • Maintaining monitoring equipment, environmental databases and reporting systems.
  • Supporting site inspections and environmental audits to ensure regulatory and internal standards are met.
  • Assisting in the implementation of environmental management plans and contributing to environmental and heritage surveys.

 

What you’ll bring:

 

  • A Diploma or Certificate in Environmental Science (or a related field).
  • Ideally 1+ year of relevant field or site-based experience, particularly in water monitoring.
  • A proactive attitude with strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
  • A genuine interest in supporting a sustainable, environmentally responsible mining operation.
  • Current (or ability to obtain) National Police Clearance.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
