Geology Technician

Who are we?

At Liontown Resources, our Kathleen Valley operation is moving confidently into full-scale production. Following our recent capital raise and significant investment in growth, we’re expanding our technical teams to support the long-term success of the mine. 

We are seeking Geology Technicians to collect, analyse and distribute geological information to key stakeholders; and perform geological activities required to facilitate the safe, efficient and cost effective extraction of the mineral resource.

What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist you will be responsible for the:

• Collection, orientation and markup of core from Grade Control Drilling.
• Accurate and safe sampling of geological core, using a core saw to cut core ready for sample dispatch.
• Collection of and recording accurate geological and geochemical data.
• Maintenance of tools and equipment for the Technical Services team, including stock takes, cleaning and stocking of laydown areas and containers.
• Safe operation of a forklift/ telehandler to move core and samples.

What we are looking for

• C Class license.
• Senior First Aid (desirable).
• Forklift/ telehandler tickets.
• Previous experience in a production geology environment highly regarded.
• Moderate computer literacy skills, e.g. Excel and Acquire highly regarded.
• Ability to meet site requirements, including a current National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain), pre-employment medical, and drug & alcohol screen.
