Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor
Date: 2 Jul 2026
Location: Kathleen, Western Australia, Australia
Company: Liontown Resources Limited
Who are we?
Liontown Limited (ASX: LTR) is one of Australia’s newest lithium producers. Our Kathleen Valley Lithium Operation in Western Australia is a Tier-1 asset with a mine life of more than 20 years, and we’re building on that foundation as the operation ramps up to full production.
Our processing plant and fixed plant infrastructure sit at the heart of that operation. Keeping these assets safe, reliable, and running is the work of a skilled maintenance team, and we’re now looking for an experienced trade leader to help drive it.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent, you’ll lead the day-to-day activities of the mechanical maintenance team responsible for our processing and fixed plant assets. You’ll assign tasks and resources, monitor performance against weekly schedules, and make sure work is delivered safely and to standard.
From crushers, mills, and conveyors through to pumps, screens, and associated rotating equipment, you’ll play a key part in keeping Kathleen Valley’s plant running reliably. It’s a hands-on leadership role on a live, growing site.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and supervise the mechanical maintenance team, allocating tasks and resources against weekly schedules and operational targets
- Own the safety performance of your team, setting clear expectations, inspecting work areas and travel routes for hazards, and holding others to account
- Monitor the operation and maintenance of processing and fixed plant assets, troubleshooting equipment issues and directing resources to minimise downtime
- Support the development and delivery of preventative maintenance schedules, working with the Superintendent and planning team to ensure work orders, resources, and materials are in place
- Use SAP to raise purchase requisitions, purchase orders, SES entries, and warehouse reservations, and verify contractor day works and timesheets against purchase orders
- Provide clear shift handovers and accurate updates to internal stakeholders on plant status, maintenance requirements, and compliance obligations
What We're Looking For
- Mechanical trade qualification (e.g. Fitter, Boilermaker/Heavy Fabricator) or equivalent
- Section 26 Supervisor qualification under WA mining legislation, or the ability to obtain one
- Proven mechanical maintenance experience in the mining or resources sector, ideally across processing and fixed plant
- Experience supervising or leading a trade team in an operational maintenance environment
- Strong fault-finding and breakdown maintenance skills across fixed plant equipment such as crushers, mills, conveyors, pumps, and screens
- Sound knowledge of WA safety legislation, with proficiency in SAP and safety management systems such as SafeLi desirable
