About the role
Liontown Resources is seeking applications for a Mine Planning Engineer to join our underground mining team. This site-based permanent opportunity will be based at our Kathleen Valley lithium project on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth.
Reporting to the Superintendent Mine Planning, you will be responsible for developing strategic mine plans, specifically stope design, development design and project work as required. Driven by the 3-month plan, you will generate mine plan approvals and stope notes as well as assist with our LOM plan.
About you
- Bachelor's degree in mining engineering or relevant operations experience
- Relevant underground operational experience within a Production Engineering role is essential ideally with previous mine planning experience.
- Experience using Deswik or equivalent mining planning and design packages
- Competent in Ventsim software.
- Knowledge of mining practices, safety regulations, and environmental standards in Australia.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Proficiency in using mining software and other relevant tools for production planning and analysis.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
- Have obtained a National Police Clearance within the last 6 months or have the ability to obtain one.
- Able to pass a Pre-Employment medical and Drug and Alcohol screen.
