Kathleen Valley is forging ahead — and we’re now growing our underground technical services team to support the next phase of mine planning and production.
We’re looking for driven Mine Planning Engineers to join us on this journey as we progress our production ramp-up. This is a permanent, site-based role on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth, reporting to a Senior Mine Planning Engineer.

What you’ll be doing
- Deliver short- and medium-term mine plans aligned to production targets
- Complete stope designs, development layouts, and project planning activities
- Generate mine plan approvals, stope notes, and support LOM planning
- Collaborate with geotech, ventilation, survey and production engineering teams
- Contribute to continuous improvement of planning standards and systems
What we’re looking for
- Degree in Mining Engineering and/or strong UG operational experience
- Hands-on experience in Production Engineering essential; planning exposure ideal
- Proficiency in Deswik mine design software and Ventsim
- Knowledge of Australian mining safety regulations and standards
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
- Passion for underground mining and being part of a high-performance team
- Have obtained a National Police Clearance within the last 6 months or have the ability to obtain one.
- Able to pass a Pre-Employment medical and Drug and Alcohol screen.
