The Opportunity

 

Reporting to the NPI Maintenance Supervisor, we are seeking an experienced Plumber to join our Operations team at Kathleen Valley. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing plumbing systems across the site, ensuring water supply, drainage and heating systems operate efficiently and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

 

This is a hands-on trade role suited to a Plumber who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working as part of a broader maintenance team in an industrial setting.

 

What You'll Be Doing

 

  • Install, repair and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures and appliances
  • Maintaining and Operating Reverse Osmosis and Wastewater Treatment Plants
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues in water supply, drainage and heating systems
  • Conduct regular inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential problems
  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure the longevity and efficiency of plumbing equipment
  • Ensure all plumbing work complies with relevant safety codes and regulations
  • Implement safety measures during installation and repair activities
  • Work closely with other maintenance and construction teams to coordinate plumbing projects
  • Collaborate with engineers and leaders to plan and execute plumbing installations
  • Maintain accurate records of plumbing work, including repairs, installations and maintenance activities, and generate reports on completed projects and ongoing tasks

 

What We're Looking For

 

  • Minimum of three years' experience as a Plumber, preferably in an industrial or mining setting
  • Strong understanding of Reverse Osmosis and Wastewater Treatment Plants
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings
  • Trade qualification or certification in plumbing
  • Relevant licences and certifications as required by local regulations
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and equipment
  • Problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving plumbing issues
  • Effective communication and collaboration with maintenance teams and other stakeholders
  • Willingness to work within a multiple trade disciplined team
