The Opportunity

We’re seeking a motivated Process Operator to join our Processing team at Kathleen Valley on an 8/6 or 7/7 FIFO roster from Perth.
This is a site-based, permanent opportunity where you’ll be part of a dynamic team operating and optimising key areas of our plant, including crushing, grinding, flotation, filtration, and control room operations.

In this permanent, site-based role, you’ll be responsible for operating and optimising key components of our processing plant, including Crushing, Grinding, Magnetics Separation, Flotation, Filtration, Paste plant and Control Room Operations (CRO). You’ll work to ensure we meet or exceed production targets safely and sustainably.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate plant equipment within safe and defined parameters, including CRO, crushing, grinding, flotation, and filtration circuits.
• Execute shift plans as directed by the Process Supervisor, including general operations, housekeeping, and troubleshooting.
• Accurately complete shift logs and documentation.
• Uphold and model Liontown’s strong safety culture.
• Participate in ongoing safety and process improvement initiatives.

About the processing department

Our plant is one of the most advanced lithium and tantalum facilities globally, with the largest capacity of its kind. Designed for performance and reliability from day one, it includes the latest innovations in processing technology.

About you:

• 2+ years’ experience as a Process Operator within mining or mineral processing (lithium, gold, nickel, or similar).

• Exposure to crushing, grinding, flotation, and/or dewatering circuits.
• Experience in paste plant operations and magnetic separation is highly desirable.
• A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn new systems.

• Committed to safety, clear communication, and working as part of a team.
• Able to obtain/hold a valid National Police Clearance (within the last 6 months).
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.

(Tickets such as Working at Heights, Confined Space, and mobile equipment experience are highly regarded but not essential.)
