About the role
As we ramp up the underground production run rates, we are looking to grow our underground Technical Services team. We’re on the lookout for Production Engineers who are hungry to be part of something new. This is your opportunity to shape what great looks like from the ground up.
These roles are permanent opportunities based at our Kathleen Valley Lithium Operation on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth.
With our plant now fully commissioned, we have successfully transitioned into production and are six months into operations with a 20+ year mine life. Our Open Pit continues to operate through 2025 and at current rates is on track to be completed early in 2026. Meanwhile, our underground operations continue with decline and level development in line with plan. The team onsite remain on track to commence underground stoping in early production Q4 FY2025.
Reporting to a Senior Production Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the safe and efficient delivery of our underground mine plan.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing drill and blast designs
- Monitoring daily production performance and data tracking
- Contributing to short-term scheduling across development, stoping, services, backfilling, and maintenance activities
- Supporting operational readiness for upcoming stoping activities, targeted for early Q4 FY2025
- Working closely with technical and operational teams to optimise performance and improve processes

About you
- A degree in Mining Engineering or strong operational experience in underground mining
- 1–5 years’ experience in a underground production engineering role
- Candidates that have backfill experience will be highly regarded as we are about to bring our paste plant online
- Experience in drill and blast design (Deswik or similar software)
- Exposure to Ventsim software is a plus but not essential
- Strong working knowledge of Australian mining practices, safety, and environmental standards
- Solid problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement
- A collaborative attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance and pass a pre-employment medical and D&A screen
