This role will provide technical expertise in the design, modification, and optimisation of mechanical assets across the operation. You’ll play a key role in ensuring safe and reliable equipment performance by delivering practical engineering solutions, supporting maintenance execution, and resolving operational challenges.

What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Engineering & Reliability Lead, your role includes:
- Asset reliability & performance improvement to enhance asset availability, reduce unplanned downtime, and improve equipment performance.
- Defect elimination & root cause analysis; applying sustainable corrective actions that prevent repeat failures and improve long-term asset integrity.
- Condition monitoring & predictive maintenance to enable early fault detection and proactive intervention.
- Maintenance strategy & spares optimisation, balancing asset criticality, risk, cost, and operational continuity.
- Data analysis, reporting & insights, including identifying trends and measuring effectiveness, to inform continuous improvement initiatives and support decision-making.
- Stakeholder collaboration & technical influence. Partner with operations, engineering, planning, and external stakeholders to align reliability initiatives with site priorities and execution capability. Provide technical guidance and influence to reliability best practice across maintenance and operational teams.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline.
- Professional engineering recognition (RPEng, CPEng) is desirable.
- Training in reliability engineering, asset management, or maintenance improvement methodologies (e.g. FMEA, RCA, RCM) is desirable.
- C Class Drivers licence.
- Relevant experience in asset reliability, maintenance engineering, or asset performance improvement within a mining, resources, or asset-intensive environment.
- Proven experience applying reliability engineering principles to improve equipment availability, reduce unplanned downtime, and address repeat failures.
- Relevant experience in contributing to structured defect elimination programs, FMEA, criticality analysis, Root Cause Analysis, and downtime investigations.
- Ability to meet site requirements, including a current National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain), pre-employment medical, and drug & alcohol screen.
