About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Environment & Heritage Advisor to play a pivotal role in ensuring Kathleen Valley sets new benchmarks in responsible mining. Working closely with our Environment & Heritage Manager, you’ll partner with operational teams, regulators, Traditional Owners, and community stakeholders to deliver excellence in compliance, monitoring, and cultural heritage management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support environmental approvals, compliance, and monitoring programs across site operations.
- Coordinate and participate in cultural heritage surveys in partnership with Traditional Owners and heritage monitors.
- Provide expert advice to operational leaders on environmental and heritage matters.
- Develop and maintain management plans, procedures, and reports to meet statutory and internal obligations.
- Deliver training and awareness programs to build capability across site teams.
- Build strong, transparent relationships with regulators and community stakeholders.
- Support implementation of ISO 14001 aligned environmental management systems.
About You
We’re looking for a trusted advisor with both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills. Ideally, you will bring:
- Degree in Environmental Science, Heritage/Archaeology, or a related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in environmental and/or heritage management in the resources sector.
- Solid knowledge of WA environmental and heritage legislation and approvals.
- Proven ability to engage with Traditional Owners and build respectful, long-term partnerships.
- Hands-on experience with compliance programs and heritage survey coordination.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and associated management systems.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with excellent communication skills.
