Based at our Kathleen Valley Lithium Operations
Following a successful capital raising, Liontown Resources is entering its second year of production — a pivotal phase focused on optimisation, plant performance, and recovery improvements.
As we continue to ramp up operations and embed best-practice systems, we’re seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Planner – Fixed Plant to play a key role in the reliability and performance of our processing facility.
The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Maintenance & Engineering Superintendent, this role will take a lead in planning and coordinating maintenance activities for the fixed plant at Kathleen Valley. You will be responsible for driving the delivery of safe, efficient, and effective maintenance planning outcomes, supporting a team of planners and ensuring work management processes are fully embedded across the operation.
You’ll work closely with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure maintenance schedules align with production priorities and reliability targets — ultimately contributing to the long-term success of our lithium operation.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead the development and optimisation of maintenance plans and schedules for all fixed plant equipment.
- Support and mentor a team of maintenance planners to ensure consistency, accuracy, and timely delivery of work orders.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering to prioritise planned maintenance and shutdown activities.
- Monitor work execution, backlog management, and equipment reliability metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Champion safety, compliance, and plant reliability through proactive planning practices.
- Contribute to the development of the site’s maintenance strategy and improvement initiatives.
What we’re looking for
You’re a motivated, detail-oriented maintenance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading by example. You’ll bring:
- Trade or engineering background with experience in maintenance planning for fixed plant processing operations.
- Strong understanding of SAP (or similar CMMS), master data management, maintenance workflows, and work management processes.
- Demonstrated experience in shutdown planning and execution, including the use of MS Project for timeline and resource management.
- Previous experience in a leadership role, ideally within the resources sector, process plant maintenance and operations exposure would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across multi-disciplinary teams.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach and commitment to safety and continuous improvement. Have obtained a National Police Clearance within the last 6 months or have the ability to obtain one.
- Able to pass a Pre-Employment medical and Drug and Alcohol screen.
