The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Master Data Specialist to join our Maintenance Planning team in Perth. Reporting to the Superintendent – Maintenance Engineering and Planning, you'll be accountable for the quality, integrity, and governance of maintenance master data across Liontown's SAP S/4HANA environment.

This position is responsible for ensuring that the data foundations underpinning all maintenance activity at Kathleen Valley are accurate, complete, and structured in a way that enables effective planning, scheduling, and asset management – as such, regular site travel will be required.

As the nominated Master Data Steward for the maintenance functional area, this position operates at the intersection of maintenance practice and digital systems – translating asset management requirements into structured SAP data and ensuring that governance standards are upheld as the operation matures. The position collaborates closely with the Superintendent – Maintenance Engineering & Planning, maintenance planners, reliability engineers, and the Business Systems team to continuously improve the quality and usefulness of maintenance data.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Owns the integrity of functional locations, maintenance plans, task lists, and maintenance BOMs within Liontown's maintenance master data domain, ensuring they are accurate, complete, and structured to support reliable maintenance execution
  • Acts as the nominated Master Data Steward for the maintenance functional area, applying Liontown's SAP Governance Framework and data governance standards with consistency and rigour
  • Proactively identifies structural gaps, classification inconsistencies, or data quality issues in the maintenance master data landscape as the operation grows, and recommends improvements to keep the landscape fit-for-purpose
  • Maintains the Master Data Register to give the business confidence in the completeness and currency of its asset data, and reports on data quality to the SAP Maintenance Process Owner.
  • Maintains well-structured SAP Plant Maintenance data from maintenance strategies and asset management requirements – ensuring that preventive maintenance plans, task lists, and work order templates reflect how the maintenance team intends to manage its assets.
  • Interprets measurement point, counter, and condition monitoring data structures and takes accountability for their correctness, recognising that these directly drive the timing and triggering of maintenance activity
  • Provides expert advice on SAP configuration decisions affecting the maintenance domain, bringing a practical understanding of maintenance practice to technical discussions with the SAP Partner and Business Systems team

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a maintenance master data, SAP PM configuration, or maintenance planning role within a mining, resources, or heavy industrial environment
  • A proven track record managing SAP Plant Maintenance master data – including functional locations, maintenance plans, and task lists – with a clear understanding of how data structure affects maintenance outcomes
  • A practical understanding of data governance principles and the discipline to apply naming conventions, classification standards, and quality controls consistently in a live operational environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work across maintenance, engineering, procurement, and warehousing functions, translating operational requirements into data solutions within an ERP-enabled environment
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or related discipline (or equivalent demonstrated experience)
  • SAP PM / S/4HANA Plant Maintenance training or certification (desirable)
  • Current valid driver's licence
