It is one of the few lithium projects globally in construction today, with first production achieved in mid-2024 of schedule.
About the role
Liontown are seeking a Training Advisor to join our Kathleen Valley Lithium Operation team on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth. This role will be primarily focused on supporting our owner-operated process plant, with exposure across the broader operational environment, including open pit, underground mining, site services, and non-process infrastructure. While the mining operation is contractor-run, this role still plays a key part in ensuring alignment across all site-based teams.
What you’ll be doing:
- Partner with operational leaders (especially in the process plant – production and maintenance) to deliver competency-based training and assessment programs.
- Develop, implement, and maintain training plans and competency matrices for site-based teams.
- Liase with Registered Training Organisations in the delivery of Certificate III in Resource Processing
- Conduct on-the-job verification of competency (VOC) assessments and training observations.
- Ensure training compliance aligns with statutory, regulatory, and company-specific requirements.
- Support the onboarding and mobilisation of new employees and contractors.
- Provide reporting, tracking and auditing of training records and learning outcomes using the site’s LMS.
What you’ll bring:
- Cert IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) – essential.
- Delivering training in a mining and mineral processing environment, with mobile and fixed plant experience.
- A solid understanding of training systems (INX Intuition and Moodle), compliance frameworks, and WHS requirements in the resources sector.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Passionate about creating a culture of safety, development, and capability growth.
- Strong presentation, communication and training facilitation skills.
- Current (or ability to obtain) National Police Clearance.
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
