Work Health & Safety Trainer

Date: 1 Jul 2026

Location: Kathleen, Western Australia, Australia

Company: Liontown Resources Limited

Who are we?

Liontown Limited (ASX: LTR) is one of Australia's newest and most exciting lithium producers. Our Kathleen Valley Lithium Operation in Western Australia is a world-class, tier-one asset with a 20+ year mine life — and we're now building on that foundation through a significant staged underground expansion.

The expansion is underway. Underground development of the Northwest Flats orebody is progressing, infrastructure programs are accelerating, and a dedicated project team is being assembled to deliver the next phase of Liontown's growth.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Health, Safety & Training Superintendent, this is a hands-on role keeping our people and contractors competent, confident and safe on site. You’ll deliver accredited and site-specific training, verify competency on mobile plant, and help maintain the systems that align our workforce with the Mine Safety Management System and WHS legislation.

From statements of attainment and Verification of Competency through to Permit to Work and isolation training, you’ll play a key part in keeping Kathleen Valley running safely and efficiently. The role suits someone who enjoys being out in the operation as much as in the training room, and who takes pride in lifting the capability of the team around them.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver statements of attainment under our third-party training agreement (Trainwest), including mobile plant and Certificate III Resource Processing
  • Facilitate Permit to Work and isolation training in line with company procedures and management plans
  • Conduct Verification of Competency on mobile plant and equipment for staff and contractors
  • Maintain accurate, compliant training records in Intuition, and manage the training calendar across in-house and external registered training organisation delivery
  • Conduct safety observations, Critical Control Verifications, and workplace inspections across site, including processing plant area assessments
  • Partner with department leaders to identify training needs, and support emergency management and incident response on site

What We're Looking For

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent
  • At least five years’ experience in mining and processing, including working knowledge of a processing plant environment
  • Competence operating and training mobile plant, including skid steer, integrated tool carrier, and telescopic handler
  • Experience delivering isolation and Permit to Work training, and proficiency with INX or similar training information management platforms
  • Certificate III in Resource Processing (RII30420), and high-risk tickets such as confined space entry, working at heights, or forklift, are desirable
  • Current Western Australian C Class driver’s licence and ability to satisfy standard WA mine site requirements

Why Liontown

At Liontown, you'll join a team that's helping power the clean energy future. Our culture is built on people who take ownership, look out for each other, and are proud of what they're building together.

This role offers real breadth — sustaining capital, expansion infrastructure, and underground operations support — on a live, growing site. This is a permanent position on an 8:6 roster (12-hour days).
