The Opportunity

 

We're looking for a technically sharp Analyst – Logistics, Automation & Systems to join our small, high-impact Commercial team in Perth. Reporting to the Shipping & Logistics Principal, you'll be the systems and automation engine behind our commodity logistics operations — building smarter workflows, maintaining data integrity, and developing tools that give our team real-time visibility over a complex global supply chain.

 

This is a unique role that sits at the intersection of IT and commercial operations, offering a genuine pathway into commodity logistics and international trade.

 

What You'll Be Doing

 

  • Building and maintaining automated workflows and data integrations across logistics and commercial systems
  • Developing dashboards and reporting tools to provide real-time visibility over shipping and logistics operations
  • Supporting cargo scheduling, export documentation, and laytime calculations
  • Managing a customer-facing document portal for shipping documents, schedules, and invoices
  • Maintaining ERP data integrity and identifying opportunities to reduce manual effort across the team

 

What We're Looking For

 

  • Tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science, Data Science, or a business/commerce degree with strong technical capability
  • 2–4 years' experience in systems, data, or automation is essential
  • 1–2 years in logistics, shipping, or supply chain desirable
  • Proficient in Python and Excel for data manipulation and automation
  • Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP; familiarity with MineMarket or similar commodity platforms highly regarded
  • Exposure to export documentation such as Bills of Lading, Letters of Credit, or laytime calculations is highly regarded
  • A self-starter who works autonomously, thrives on variety, and takes initiative to solve problems
