Data & Analytics Lead

Date: 5 Feb 2026

Location: West Perth, Western Australia, Australia

Company: Liontown Resources Limited

Are you a hands-on data enthusiast who loves designing robust data platforms and building high-value analytics that drive real business decisions?

Liontown is seeking a Data & Analytics Lead to own the end-to-end design, build and optimisation of the enterprise data environment.

This is a unique greenfield opportunity to establish the company’s enterprise data foundations. In this pivotal role, you’ll transform data from Operational, Enterprise and other core systems into trusted insights, lead the development of a modern cloud-based data warehouse, uplift reporting across the organisation, and champion data-driven decision-making.

This is a highly autonomous role that blends strategy, architecture, engineering, analytics, and stakeholder engagement.

The Opportunity

As the Data & Analytics Lead, you will:

  • Implement a scalable cloud-based data warehouse and modern data platform in line with the enterprise data architecture.
  • Integrate data required to deliver use cases from corporate systems such as Quartex (INX), SAP S/4 HANA, SAI360, and operational systems such as Aveva PI and field devices.
  • Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring trusted, timely datasets.
  • Develop high-quality models and SQL transformation logic.
  • Deliver Power BI reporting and provide support for self-service BI users, promoting best practices in report development and deployment.
  • Create and govern semantic models and shared datasets for consistent KPIs and metrics.
  • Lead data quality improvements and collaborate with data owners to resolve root-cause issues.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to translate business problems into clear insights.
  • Coach business users to safely adopt curated datasets and self-service analytics.
  • Own and extend the data and reporting roadmap, driving continuous improvement and modernisation.
  • Provide backup support for SAP analytics cloud reporting.

About You

You’ll thrive in this role if you are a proactive, pragmatic data specialist with a passion for building reliable, scalable analytical foundations. You bring:

Experience & Technical Expertise

  • Minimum 5+ years in data engineering, BI, analytics, or similar roles.
  • Proven experience designing, building and owning cloud-based data warehouses.
  • Strong SQL and hands-on experience with tools such as Azure, Snowflake, Fabric, Data Factory, or similar.
  • Power BI expertise (DAX, data modelling, RLS, optimisation).
  • Background working with data from both ERP and operational systems.
  • Data modelling capability.
  • Scripting experience (Python desirable).
  • Bonus points for familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud.

We are looking for someone with an ownership mentality, who takes accountability for outcomes, not just tasks. This is a hands-on role, and suits someone with a strong ability to collaborate with and guide key stakeholders to identify and prioritise high value use-cases, including senior leaders.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data/Analytics, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Certifications in Azure, Snowflake and/or Power BI are highly advantageous.
  • Experience in resources sector is highly regarded.

If you're ready to build a scalable, high-impact data environment and play a central role in shaping the organisation’s analytical future, we’d love to hear from you.
