The Opportunity

 

This role of the Senior Business Analyst is critical in supporting the company's financial planning processes, including annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and strategic business analysis. This is a full-time, permanent role, accountable for maintaining the Consolidation and Asset financial models and supports the evaluation of major investment opportunities. Based in our West Perth office, the Senior Analyst will work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver high-quality financial insights that drive decision-making and business performance.

 

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Develop and maintain the Consolidation and Asset financial models covering mine plans, cost structures and financials.
  • Lead the Group’s financial planning processes (including budget and forecast activities) by coordinating and consolidating inputs from the operations, commercial, and technical services teams for financial models.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and assess value‑creation and major investment opportunities through financial analysis.
  • Deliver accurate, timely, and insightful monthly and quarterly variance analysis supported by commentary.
  • Drive continuous improvement to enhance the financial modelling process through automation and integration with planning systems.

 

What we’re looking for

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce (finance and accounting).
  • Post graduate financial qualifications (CA or CPA).
  • Expert financial modelling skills in Excel.
  • Demonstrated experience in building complex 3-way financial models.
  • Ability to turn complex analysis into clear recommendations.
  • Stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills.
  • Mining and/or processing industry experience, particularly lithium, is advantageous but not essential.
